Learning to be Bold & Weekly Goals

3 March, 2014 by Giselle Rochford 4 Comments

Hey There Friends! How’s it goin?

Have you ever gotten so engrossed in a book that you literally lose all sense of place and time?

No?

Well that happened to me yesterday πŸ˜• Which is why my Sunday was almost non-existent and I didn’t post the recap of my goals for last week 😳

What amazing book is this you ask?

Well, it’s Rich Dad, Poor Dad

I started off reading the book, but in an effort to multi-task (i.e. write yesterday’s post and still ‘read’ the book) I decided to listen to it instead.

I don’t usually do audio books, but I think I’ll have to start making an exception for non fiction! I found it much easier to really think about what I was learning when I wasn’t focused on actually reading.

So I guess I wasn’t really reading all day, but still, I never got around to actually writing a thing 😳

Being Bold

I’m not gonna do a review of the book but I will say that I (re-)learned something a little unexpected in the last chapters of the book:

Being Bold

This spoke to me when I heard it. Not because it negates the importance of education and learning your trade – which it doesn’t. But because it stresses the importance of being bold.

Of taking chances.

Of putting yourself out there.

Of believing in yourself.

Of risking it all for a chance of success.

Which is something I need to do more of.

But anyway,  if you haven’t read Rich Dad, Poor Dad yet, you should. And if you wanna give the audio a try, here’s the one I listened to!

You will not regret it!

Recap of last Week’s Goals

Two new veggies

I totally rocked this! I made stir fry with my brussel sprouts and peppers and sweet potato pizza (still perfecting the recipe!) with peppers the peppers as toppings.

I also took it one step further and added a new fruit to my menu last week: green apples. I’ve never really liked these cuz they’re a little sour but I put them in my oatmeal last last week, topped it with cinnamon and it was really good! πŸ˜€

Yoga/Lifting

I definitely fell short on both of these goals – by a day each! I have no idea why it’s so hard to get my but to the gym just three times a week these days πŸ˜• I’m pretty sure it’s the cold 😐

This week I’m just gonna walk everywhere with a packed gym bag and not give myself a chance to come home and get warm before the gym! Here’s to hoping that works πŸ˜€

Goals for this week

Since I’m having so much trouble on the workout side of these goals, I’m just gonna focus on those!

Goals Mar 3 - 8 | ExSloth.com

Also, I just noticed that the backgrounds for my weekly goals all have something to do with warmth and sunshine πŸ˜†

My subconscious is clearly screaming for Spring to come quickly! πŸ˜‰

What about you?

What are your goals for this week?

Have you ever read Rich Dad, Poor Dad?

What lesson did you learn from it?

I can say from myself that I have now started to read a very good work, which is really close to my heart, I am now reading “Hills Like White Elephants” and I can honestly say that I am absolutely satisfied with what I was able to learn for myself there, it is a deep story with a very simple pitch that will be understandable to everyone. So far I can say that everyone who will read it should read the essay on this topic https://studydriver.com/hills-like-white-elephants-essay/ , there are some very interesting ones, I even took the material for the coursework when I wrote about this work. Good luck, I hope that I helped.

Good day fellas! If you really have no one idea how to do your college assignments correctly and you need somebody to write your essays, then you should try to buy college papers online from this brilliant agency. I would like to say, that after using their company it will make your studentship so much lighter than ever before.

I have thought so many times of entering the blogging world as I love reading them. I think I finally have the courage to give it a try. Thank you so much for all of the ideas!
