Reaching your Goal is not the end

3 November, 2013 by Giselle Rochford 1 Comment

Hey There!

Hope your Sunday is going good! Mine has been pretty busy but I thought I’d sneak in a post before the weekend ended ๐Ÿ˜€

I came across a quote while reading today that I had to share.

“The finish line is just the beginning of a whole new race.”

One thing that took me a while to learn when I started trying to get healthy and fit was that this is a lifestyle. It’s great to have goals like dropping this number of pounds or doing that number of pull ups, but when it comes to health and fitness, healthy eating especially, there’s no quick fix.

You can’t run everyday or cut out processed foods for 3 months and then stop when you get to your goal. Once you stop making those sacrifices you’re gonna be right back where you started.

What you need to do is set a new goal once you’ve achieved the old one and continue working!

Fitspiration: beginning of a while new race; goals

What are your current fitness goals?

This month I’m working on being more rigid with clean eating and improving my 5K time.

This is great on the one hand! But on the other hand, it drives me crazy because I understand that it never ends.
Yes, life is a constant movement and we must always grow. But sometimes I just want to enjoy the result and not start a new race.
