20 Healthy Green Breakfast Recipes For St. Patty’s

16 March, 2015 by Giselle Rochford 11 Comments

Hey Friends! How’s it goin?

For someone who won’t be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day this year, I’ve been harping on it a lot on the blog recently. One of my friends is throwing a St. Patty’s Day kickoff party that starts at 9 am and includes pancakes. Now, breakfast is my favourite meal of the day and I love pancakes, but I’m not too sure about this party.

A list of 20 healthy green breakfast recipes, for any day, but especially St. Patty's via @ExSloth | ExSloth

First off, will the pancakes even be green? I mean it’s St. Patty’s Day. They HAVE to be green. And, if they are green, how do they become green? Food colouring?!? Blasphemous, I know. There are so many other – healthier – ways to get green pancakes than using artificial dye. And, if the purpose is just to have a little something green for breakfast honour St. Patrick’s Day, why stop at pancakes? I’m not saying to go all out with green ham and eggs or anything, but breakfast options are virtually unlimited, even if they need to be green.

So today, I’m sharing some recipes that you can make to bring some healthy green cheer to your breakfast or brunch menu any day, but especially on St. Patty’s.
