It’s a glorious day here in Waterloo! It really isn’t but it’s my birthday so I can say it’s glorious if I want to π
Some Birthday Highlights:
Played phone tag with the parental unit until I finally got my birthday morning call π Yes! It was a long distance call all the way from Trinidad…clearly they love me π
Had lunch with my bestest bud and because I love breakfast food so much I opted for Cora π
Twitter love from friends & some friends of friends who share my birthday π
…and that’s everything I have pictures of lol, but the day isn’t over yet π
How to Exercise at Home Effectively

For this week’s Wellness Wednesday post I’ll be talking about at-home workouts again. Where as last week was all about At-Home Workout Equipment, today I want to focus on how to actually get in a good workout when you exercise at home.
A lot of you might be thinking that it’s easy to exercise at home once you’ve got all your equipment. You don’t have to waste time getting to and from the gym, you don’t have that gym intimidation that a lot of us face and you don’t have to wait your turn to use the equipment. What could possibly go wrong?!?
While it’s true that in some ways it’s easier to exercise at home, at-home workouts have their own slew of problems that make it hard to be effective every time.
For example,
- It’s easy to get distracted at home not exercise even though you planned to
- You can have all the equipment in the world but not know what you actually what to work out
- You can get bored quickly with the few workout routines you do know

Working out at home is actually my favorite! Of course it is easier said than done with a child, but I typically do it A) when she naps B) when she is excited so she thinks it’s funny to see me boppin’ around.
