Last Minute Edible Christmas Gifts

22 December, 2014 by Giselle Rochford 15 Comments

Hey Friends! How’s it goin?

I’m back in Trinidad today and I’m so freaking excited. When this post goes live I’ll be hanging out with friends and family and having a grand old time. Okay- I’ll probably be sleeping but I can hope.

I’m not sure whether or not I’ve mentioned this before, but I hate shopping when there are large crowds so hitting the malls this close to the big day would not be ideal. Usually, I’m a terrible sibling/relative and don’t get gifts for most of my family because I can’t stand holiday shopping.

These 32 Healthy Recipes will make it easy to whip up last minute edible holiday gifts via @ExSloth | ExSloth.com #Christmas #holiday

But this year, I decided to attempt giving edible gifts, especially after I made the peppermint chocolate covered pretzels and then the gingerbread spiced roasted nuts. I know I could have bought stuff before I left, but presents for all my family would never be able to fit in my suitcase on account of all the gym clothes.

At first I was only going to make insanely large batched of the two, but then I saw some other festive snacks floating around the interwebs and decided I wanted to try those as well.

Here’s what I found:

I love giving edible gifts! My cousins and I have made candy since we were little, and now it has become a staple in my gift giving routine, especially for those hard-to-buy-for people like bosses and boys. Great roundup!

Who doesn’t love getting treats for Christmas?! I usually make a large patch of chocolate covered pretzels and strawberries the night before a Christmas party. I’m for sure going to try some of these recipes this year.
