Crunchy Honey Roasted Chickpeas

15 February, 2015 by Giselle Rochford 7 Comments

Hey Friends! How’s it goin?

Happy Day after Valentine’s Day and (according to Google) National Flag of Canada Day. Who knew that was a thing? Anyway, today, I’ve got a new recipe for ya up on the Savory Style blog: Honey Roasted Chickpeas.

These honey roasted chickpeas are crunchy and sweet with a perfectly caramelized outer layer. All chickpeas deserve to become something this amazing.

I dreamed these up the same day I whipped up this batch of Coconut Almond Granola. Apparently I was in a snack making mood, and had an insatiable desire for honey roasted peanuts to go with my granola. Weird, I know, but I decided to go with it.

Unfortunately for me, I had no peanuts in the house and I wasn’t willing to waste the good (read: expensive) stuff on a roasted nut experiment that may or may not have gone wrong. So I decided to sacrifice a 99¢ can of chickpeas instead. Best. Decision. Ever.

Head on over to Savory Style to find out more about my history with roasting garbanzo beans (or lack there of) and to get the recipe for these crunchy, sweet, perfectly caramelized Honey Roasted Chickpeas.

I’m obsessed with roasted chickpeas and probably eat them once a week. My favorite are spicy roasted chickpeas–just throw some cajun seasoning on them and I’m a happy camper.
