10 Expo Hall Stage Sessions at canfitpro world fitness expo + a giveaway

20 July, 2015 by Giselle Rochford 26 Comments

Attending a health and/or fitness conference has been on my bucket list for as long as I’ve been a blogger and next month, I’m finally getting the chance to scratch it off the list. I first heard about canfitpro world fitness expo last year, but I couldn’t attend since the registration date had already passed. So, this year I made a point to schedule some time to head to Toronto for the expo.

my top 10 can't miss sessions at canfitpro world fitness expo via @ExSloth | ExSloth.com

The biggest reason that I’m so excited about attending canfitpro world fitness expo is that it manages to cater to both fitness professionals and fitness/nutrition enthusiasts. The fact that, with online registration, you can get free admission to the Expo Hall where most of the fun stuff happens, is a pretty close second.

At the Expo Hall, there’ll be three different stages – lecture, activity, demo and nutrition – with different speakers at each stage and you’ll be able to sample products, demo equipment, shop some of the best deals in the fitness industry, and, my personal fav, attend free education sessions in personal training, group fitness, mind-body, nutrition, and more.

You can find out more about the Expo Hall Stage Sessions here, but I also wanted to share a few that I’m most interested in attending and why.

10 Expo Hall Stage Sessions not to miss at @canfitpro #worldfitnessexpo Aug 14-15 + a #giveaway

Click To Tweet

Friday Expo Hall Stage Sessions:

1. Top 10 Gluten Free Pantry Essentials

I’m not gluten free and hopefully I’m never forced to go gluten free, but at least one of my friends actively avoids gluten. So, as a person who loves to cook for others, I’m really interested in attending this session and learning more about gluten free eating.

2. Paleo, Low Carb, Vegan, If It Fits Your Macros – Which Diet is Best?

This one is of purely academic interest. After going meat free for a week last month, I’ve been really interested in different diets and have been thinking of trying out different ones. I’m hoping that I can get some insight during this session.

3. Get Pep from the Prep! Paleo Meal Prepping

Basically the same as above. I’m not paleo, but I am interested in learning about the diet and my meal prep game could probably use some work.

4. Protein Supplements – The good, the bad, the ugly

I’ve been on the hunt for a new protein shake for a couple months now, but all the research and articles on protein supplements on the interwebs can get a little confusing. Hopefully this session can clear some of that up for me.

5. Socacize® Fitness

Because I’m Trinidadian and they’ve combined soca and fitness. There’s no way I’m missing this one.

Saturday Expo Hall Stage Sessions:

6. Body Positive

Body image is something we all obsesses about and I’m interested to hear about this from someone who’s overcome the struggle.

7. Tosca’s Top 10 Clean Eating Foods

I’m not sure if I ever mentioned this on the blog before, but Tosca Reno was a huge part of my initial foray into healthier eating. One of my roommates at the time was obsessed with all things Clean Eating and, after living with her for 8 months, the Tosca/Clean Eating obsession rubbed off on me. So to say that I’m excited about this session is a gross understatement.

8. Nutrition 101

Because we all need to go back to basics sometimes

9. Health by Chocolate

Do I even need words?

10. POUND – Rockout. Workout.™

Attending a POUND workout is something that I recently added to my fitness bucket list, so I was hella excited to see this on the list.

Giveaway

canfitpro was awesome enough to offer one lucky ready a free one-day registration (value of $388 per registration and includes access to the Expo Hall). Details on how to enter are below, and spoiler alert: I’ll be hosting TWO more of these giveaways before August 10th!

I’m so excited for you! You’re going to love it. And, what a fabulous line-up you have scheduled. That paleo food prep class looks pretty awesome, and I was just looking at my Tosca Reno cookbook today. She’s awesome. Thanks for sharing! I didn’t know about this conference. I just got back from Blogfest and Ideafit. I learned so much, and some of the lecturers were off the charts amazing. HAVE FUN!!!
